U.S. Changes position on mandatory sentences for drugs

    The U.S. is finally reconsidering it's position on prison sentences for minor drug offenders. It's a good idea, California has the 3 strikes law, which is good for keeping people like Charles Rothenberg locked up, but you have people serving life for things like stealing socks. Dangerous offenders are getting released while harmless people are serving life, it's ridiculous. Ruining someone's life and making them unemployable for having a few joints is ridiculous and it's good they're starting to smarten up. Maybe they'll change on underage drinking too.
